English Banoffe Pie Recipe Ingredients

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
10 tbs soft butter
28oz condensed milk, sweetened
3 large bananas
1 ½ cups whipping cream
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla.

Preheat oven to 350F.

Combine cracker crumbs and butter, and press into a 9-inch pie plate.
Bake for about 5 to 8 minutes.
Turn down the oven to 300F for the next step..

Pour condensed milk into baking dish, and cover with foil.
Place in a larger pan, and add water so that the baking dish with the milk is sitting in water that goes halfway up the sides of the dish.
A large poaching pan should work, providing the inner dish is around 2 inches deep.
Bake for 1 ½ hours, then let cool..

Pour about half of the caramelized milk into the pie shell.
Layer sliced bananas over the custard, then add the remaining filling.
In a small bowl, whip the cream with sugar and vanilla, then spread over the top of the pie. .
